Imagination is a gift that all athletes have. Extreme sports athletes come to this world with an extra shot of imagination in their genes. As the great Albert Einstein said “Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere”! So, what happens if you give to two super-imaginative and talented athletes the chance to go anywhere and built anything? The result to this equation is : Dreamland by Jason Paul and Dimitris ‘DK’ Kyrsanidis.
Jason Paul and DK joined forces to create the Red Bull Dreamland project with one ultimate purpose: to show off their moves, work on and perfectionize new ones in an extraordinary freerunning track of their choice! Or better… of their own design! They found the perfect location in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey. The glorious Bosphorus and Haydarpasa Port offered a maze of containers, cranes, moving objects, obstacles and limitless possibilities for the freerun of their lives.
After creating the setup, all they had to do was play and experiment! Superheroe moves like just out of the brand new Batman or Spiderman movie are dominating the video in which the two amazing athletes are demonstrating their crazy-well-mastered tricks with an ease of real superheroes defying gravity!
We know very well that both athletes have sick skills and a great passion for freerunning. We have witnessed them in the Red Bull Art of Motion events over and over again doing what they love and do best. This video is the proof that great athletes do only compete against each other but when they join their passion and creativity and share it with the rest of the world miracles can happen. Strong ethics from both, in a video in which each other not only pushes the other to outperform themselves but also helps to do so in the process.
So, how does a freerunning paradise look like? What is best freerunning track imaginable? Dreamland by Jason Paul and Dimitris ‘DK’ Kyrsanidis is the answer!
