If you are in love with the water and have always imagined how it would be to spend a night underwater, now you have a chance to do it. If you are fascinated by the mesmerizing nature of sharks this is a story you want to read! The Aquarium of Paris and AirBnB are offering a unique shark experience: a one-night-stay submerged in three million liters of water with nothing but a 360-degree transparent wall separating you from 35 of the most misunderstood predators on Earth. Sharks!
This unique shark experience will take place on the 11th, 12th and 13th of April at the Aquarium de Paris, hosted by Fred Buyle – a world record-breaking freediver, underwater photographer and above all a shark aficionado!
A tranquil room with a cylindrical bed and all necessary amenities are topping up the breathtaking neighboring shark-view. Three lucky winners with one guest each will have the opportunity to live this unique shark experience. Submissions to the contest are open until the 3rd of April via the Airbnb website. If the City of Light is not your hometown, have no worries: Airbnb will take care of your travelling from anyplace on Earth!
The whole purpose of this experience is to raise awareness for these misinterpreted creatures and change the perception that most of the non-scientific community members have of the sharks. With this exclusive glimpse into their lives – even just for a night – the host, Fred Buyle, and the marine biologists aim to emphasize on this species importance to the ocean’s ecosystem.
