Have you ever been extreme camping before?  If you have, then you know all too well how challenging it can be.  There are several types of extreme camping that only those with the bravest hearts should try. Today, we are going to learn more about three different types of extreme camping that you might want to put on your bucket list. But remember, these trips are not for the faint of heart!

"Corinthos 7 days"

Survivalist Camping

This form of extreme camping should only be done by those with the right skills. Survivalist camping will take you deep into the woods, jungle or forest with only a few essential items. The rest of the things you will need, like food and water, will need to be taken from the land. You will need to build a shelter out of sticks, leaves and other natural materials which will protect you from the elements. You will have to navigate the land with only a simple compass and a paper map. This is a very challenging type of extreme camping that can be very difficult even for the seasoned wilderness professional. Before you head out into the wild and are planning to do some hunting, you should get your essential gear at a specialty shop like Woodbury Outfitters so that you can be ready for what nature throws at you.

Minimalist Camping

Similar to survivalist camping, minimalist camping doesn’t require much gear. Those who practice this style of camping will carry only those items they need to survive while still being comfortable. They will, of course, carry a tent but only one that’s big enough to sleep in. Also, they will often cook over an open fire and not carry a camp stove. One flashlight, or headlamp, and a minimal amount of clothes are included in the gear. This type of camping is not for those who like to camp in luxury, but it’s not as extreme as survival camping. This might be a good alternative for those that don’t want to do something so extreme.

Overnight Bicycle Camping

This is a cool form of extreme camping that many people want to try. When you are overnight bicycle camping, you are carrying everything you need on your bike. This limits the amount of essential gear that you can carry, but you will have enough stuff to survive and stay comfortable. Also, you will have an advantage over those that hike to their camping location. You will be able to go much further into the wilderness in a shorter amount of time. This, however, can be challenging simply because you are so far away from civilization, but this is the perfect way to camp for those who want to get away from it all.

These are a few extreme camping trips that you can try your hand at, but remember, these are very challenging ways to camp, and you need to be physically fit to try them. Not many people have what it takes, but if you do, then why not get out there? You just might find that you enjoy these types of camping!
