The artificial lake of Aoos lies approximately 20 km/12.4 mi north of Metsovo, on the east side of the Prefecture of Ioannina. It was constructed in 1987 and is considered a particularly important project for the region. Due to its amazing natural position, as it nestles among the Valia Calda and the Vikos-Aoos National Parks, the location enchants numerous visitors all year round, including sports enthusiasts.
