Perth is the capital city of Western Australia, located on the Swan River. The climate here is classified as Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. Leighton Beach is located just in the north of Fremantle. It is a beautiful destination that offers to locals and visitors a variety of leisure activities and water-sports. It is popular amongst windsurfers and kiters, as it provides great sea breeze conditions, especially from October to April. Windsurfers are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from 1.5 m-2 m/5 ft-6 ft and holds up to 2.5 m/8 ft.

The wind force is medium, usually 16-25 knots and the ideal wind direction is from the southwest, west. In addition, Leighton is suitable for windsurfers of all levels. Keep in mind that, it is a crowded spot with surfers, kiters and other windsurfers. Last but not least, there are windsurfing schools and shops at your disposal.
