Knoydart, known as the Rough Bounds, lies in between the lochs Nevis and Hourn, in Lochaber Peninsula.
Although it is not located close to Aberdeenshire, there is an organized tour by bus, which takes you with all your luggage in a 3-day trip to Knoydart. Knoydart includes the mountain/munro Luinne Bheinn with an altitude of 939 m / 3080 ft. The hiking route difficulty is set to 4 and it is quite rough and rocky to climb it.
However, there is a magnificent plantation and lochs during the route, while the view is magnificent once you reach its peak. One of the most common animals that you will come across is Deer. Someone can combine the visit with the mountain Meall Buidhe at the same day. Access is possible only by ferry departed from Mallaig.
