If you need a winter ride, full of adventure, power, passion and snow, take your snow-machine and be the knight rider. Be careful, you should find a perfect place, where the snow could stand your wild instincts. If you need help, Seli is a good choice. It's located in the regional unit of Imathia, on the border of Kato Vermio or Kato Seli, which is one of the highest villages in Greece with an altitude of 1900 m/6233 ft.

The ski center of Seli is the first organized center in Greece where the first Panhellenic race of skiing was held on the spot. It has begun operating since 1934.

It offers 19 pistes of all level of difficulty and 7 lifts (6 slides of one seater, 1 aerial of two seater). So, if you want to enjoy the beautiful landscape, come face to face with the cold air and make the snowflakes your slaves, then alone or with company, snowmobile is your answer to all of your passions. You can rent a snowmobile in the ski center and there are experts, which they can show you the magic paths. About 24 km/14 mi far from the ski center, you come across Veroia, the capital city of the regional unit of Imathia.

Close to Veroia, is Vergina, a tourist destination because of the archeological and historical meaning. There you can find the royal graves and a modern underground museum with exhibits from the history of ancient Macedonia. The grave of king Philip the second, the father of Alexander the Great, was discovered in Vergina from the archeology professor Michael Andronikos. It’s worth to visit Vergina and Veroia. The hospitality of the people will charm you and if you taste the good traditional food and the dessert ravani, it’s sure that you won’t want to leave.
