Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's apple cultivations.
Crystal Springs Snow Park is located at about an hour and a half away from Wenatchee, before Kachess Lake. The snowmobile routes have an elevation gain of 2400 ft/731 m and parking space for 150 cars. The Snow park offers a trail system of 51 mi/82 km with sanitary facilities and scenic view points. The trails are also used from non motorized recreationists.
The view from the mountain is breathtaking as soon as you get higher and higher. You drive through alpine scenery with huge pine trees and fun powder snow. During winder season, there is a Sno-Park permit required, which you can get from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. Drivers should take water and snacks with them and be careful of the working crews that may be on the trails during the day to clear drifts or debris.
