Zurich is also a sporting attraction to a lot of athletes. One of the most popular sports in Zurich is BMX riding. You can ride your BMX almost everywhere, but one of the best places to ride in Zurich is Bike Park Allmend. It covers an area of 5500 m² /59202 ft².
It is opened everyday from 8.00 to 21.00 and there is no entrance fee. The park has to offer many features. One of them is Urban BMX space. Urban comes from the Olympic sport of BMX. It has a starting hill of 13.1 ft /4 m high, a starting gate and two lines, 4 ft /1.2 m wide and 80 ft /24.3 m long each.
The Jump track is another feature, offering several curves, integrally connecting jump lines. All three deep bowls of 2.8 meters / 9.2 feet long each can be driven combined. The last feature is a Pumptrack, where the 40 ft / 12.1 m long waves and steep curves allow the pump with pure driving through the body (without pedaling).
The wheel track has 20 ft /6 m long waves and gentle curves that can be ridden from novice bikers. In the bike park, you will find three levels of difficulty, easy, medium and hard. The public toilets and lockers are attached to the Freestyle Park.
