Adams County and especially the village Peebles, is known for the only ski area in a 164 mi/264 km radius that has a vertical drop of 600 ft/182.8 m, ready to challenge every ambitious snowboarder.
It might not seem big enough, but only Spicy Run Mountain has this advantage in the area. It is a pretty small ski area with a skiable terrain of 40 ac/0.16 km², offering 9 trails in total. The trails are all mixed up, experts and beginners all together, but this is what makes the terrain unique and popular.
More advantaged are experts, as trails cover 70% of the terrain for experts, 20% for intermediate snowboarders and 10% for beginners. The average snowfall is small, bellow average at 3 ft/0.9 m, but it is enough, if you really want to use your snowboard. The lifts that serve the area are 4 and are handled and maintained by very friendly folks.
