One of the landmarks of the region and a major attraction for visitors, is the Corinth Canal. Build in 1893, the canal connects the Corinthian Gulf with the Saronic Gulf and is 4 mi/6.4 km long and 80.7 ft/24.6 m wide. The bridge over the canal that joins the mainland of Greece with Peloponnese is where the real action begins.
At a maximum height of 255.9 ft/78 m the adrenaline seekers will have a blast, jumping off the bridge and into the canal. Suitable for all, this bungee site will please even the most demanding jumpers, as the wind tunnel created by the narrow walls can make you corkscrewing, as you are falling down.
Cut through the solid rocks of Corinth, this spot might not be the highest jump in Europe, however, it is among the best locations in the world as it provides exhilarating views and the feeling that you can touch the canal’s walls, while falling into the bluest waters of the sea. The best season for bungee jumping the Corinth Canal is from May to September.
