Captain Cook Monument Trail, Kailua Kona

Kahului has its own major airport located in the North shore. Twin Falls Trail, is a very popular trail, 1.4 mi/2.25 km long (out and back), about one hour hike. The trail is very easy to hike and leads you to a beautiful place with waterfalls where you can swim. You walk through tropical forest and there is water everywhere, so you should wear shoes and clothes that you will not care if they get wet or dirty.
The trail is very well marked and easy to follow. If the weather indicates rain, it might be best not to attempt the hike because flash floods can occur. There is also a picnic site at the end of the trail where you can enjoy fresh tropical fruits. Don’t forget your swimming suite.
