Kahului is located in Maui Island on Hawaii and is the largest city of the Island. It is considered to be a shopping destination because there are several major stores and malls.

It’s also home to Kahana Pond State Wildlife Sanctuary and the Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum, dedicated to Maui’s sugar industry. Kahului hosts its own major airport in the North shore.

Stream-side Trail is located in Iao Valley State Park. It is 1 mi/1.6 km long, about one hour hike and it has an elevation gain of 200 ft/70 m. You walk through lush tropical forest, impressive landscapes of Iao Valley which is considered to be spiritually as sacred by the locals and a network of streams.

You also cross a foot bridge, over some small waterfalls and natural ponds. Stream-side trail is suitable for all skill levels. Hikers should wear good hiking shoes and take a raincoat with them, because rain showers are often.
