Wind strength is about 3 – 5 Bft and its direction is west, west-south-west and east, east-north-east.
The excellent conditions make it a great spot for windsurfing and also ideal to try new tricks. Slalom competitions are also organized every year in El Ejido. Almerimar bay is the most famous windsurf spot in the Iberian Peninsula where famous windsurfers train. Other places to windsurf is Balerma and Guarias Viejas.
