Coast guard beach is a long, sandy, beautiful beach located in the south east side of Massachusetts and is a part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, which stretches at 109 mi/176 km long.

Wellfleet is 9.2 mi/14.8 km far from the beach. It is seething with tourists in the summer and you will be able to find plenty of places to eat and spend the night. Coast Guard is a long, sandy and beautiful beach. You have to leave your car at the parking and then take the trolley in order to reach the beach. There is frequent schedule though and it is only a few minute ride.

The waves here are relatively big but not very strong. They have a length of more or less 100–150 m/328–492 ft long but can reach up to 300 m/984 ft. If you are a beginner in windsurfing, you have to mind the big waves.

You will find big waves mostly in fall, but if you visit earlier in the season, they will be easier to handle. Generally, Cape Cod has fair weather but there are times it’s being hit by extreme weather situations.
