Sharm-Nabq Bay, located just in the point where the Gulf of Aqaba meets Red Sea, offers great moments to all kiters of any level of ability. The position of the Tiran Island, just in front of the Bay, has created very suitable conditions for riding the waves. Between the coastline and the Tiran Island, there have been formed two lagoons with 0.80m/2.62ft depth and sandy bottom.
The lagoons length covers a distance of 3km/1.86mi long, thus creating a natural playground for the kite surfers. The area is divided into two zones, one for beginners and one for expert kiters. Although kite-surfing is being performed in the area since 1992, the sport’s practice has been developed very quickly while anyone could find there very good accommodation services, schools and facilities.
