At just 20 minutes from downtown of Düsseldorf, at the South Beach of the Unterbracher South Lake, this is the perfect spot for Wind Surfing. The beach is fun, sandy and offers a cozy sun terrace which will make you forget that you are in the outskirts of the city. The lake is 2.5 km / 1.9 mi long with excellent water quality.
Dominant wind at the site is coming from the southeast and west-southwest. Average wind speed is at about 4 knots (7.5 kph), while average air temperature is in winter/fall at 4°C/39.2°F and in spring/summer at 17°C/62.6°F. The beach is very crowded especially in summer months with many swimmers and wind surfers as well as other sea sports enthusiasts.
