Düsseldorf is the center of the Rhine – Ruhr metropolitan region and the capital city of the German state of North Rhine – Westphalia. The lake’s length is 2.5 km /1.9 mi, offering exceptional water quality. Wind is another asset of the lake as, in its best form, it blows from the southeast and west-southwest with an average speed of 4 knots (7.5 kph).

The average air temperature ranges between 4-17°C/39.2-62.6°F, depending on the season. Due to its popularity, the beach can get really crowded with many athletes and swimmers, occupying the beach!
