Peshastin Creek is located next to Pheshastin Town and is connected with Wenatchee River. The Kayak adventure starts from Highway 97 culvert, or it can be used as an extension if running the Wenatchee River. The run is 9 mi/14 km long, with a class 3 and in some sections 4 difficulty level for normal flows.
The river is great for intermediate and advanced kayak enthusiasts, because during spring, when the water is high, the run starts out with class 3 and 4 rapids, known as Fresh Squeezed. After this point, the river tapers off into class 2 level. There is also a runnable diversion dam, where you can have fun.
Prepare to get wet in fresh, crystal clear cold water, take your gear with you or plan an organized river trip and enjoy a fantastic white water kayaking experience into the wild nature of Cascades.
