If you are looking for a sandy not so crowded yet adventurous beach, Agia Varvara beach in Limassol – Cyprus is the place to go to. The sand and gravel combined beach has been awarded with the Blue Flag and even though it is not as crowded as other beaches in the area (not even in the summer), the beach is covered by the restless eyes of the Limassol district lifeguards. Parallel to the beach you will notice the wave breakers which protect the shore from the waves.
The crystal clear water and the warm water temperature (30 °C/86 °F in the summer – 17 °C/62.60 °F in the winter) make the beach perfect for any water sport and other leisure activities such as swimming and beach tennis. SUP however seems to be the activity that attracts the most people to this beach.

The ancient city of Amathus is at very close proximity to the beach and the old city’s ruins are well worth visiting once in the area!!!
