Leonidio lies in east coast of Peloponnese. Capital city of ''Tsakonia'' region, Leonidio maintains and preserves Tsakonian cultural tradition. The highlands and the plateau of Parnon Massif, which surround the area, represent an excellent spot for trekkers and hikers.

Leonidio although is a coastal town, its vicinity with Parnon Mountain Range gives to the entire region a more mountainous character.

The last years the area is identified as an excellent spot for trekking and hiking. The highlands of the area are an ideal arena for trekkers.

The complex rock formations, the magnificent gorges, the impeccable view combining sea with mountain create a perfect scenery for trekking activity. The flora of the region is also remarkable.

The route starts in the main bridge of Daphnona River and ends in Marathia locality. The most of the journey is without marked trail.

This challenging route is only one of the many in this startling region!
