Bear Valley is a ski area located near Angels Camp, on highway 4 between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite approximately 3 hours southeast of Sacramento, California, USA.

Bear Valley is the perfect place for snowshoeing. Wear your lightweight snowshoes and discover the cross country ski trails for snowshoers, experiencing tremendous fun and adventure. You can stop by the Cross Country Center and pick up a California SNO-PARK permit to explore the Spicer SNO-PARK areas or the Lake Alpine.

There are no facilities, so if you get hungry, you should provide for something to eat or wait and visit the Bear Valley Village. Lake Alpine is usually crowded especially on weekends. Spicer is usually less crowded. A permit is required for each car, parked at the SNO-PARK area from November to late May.
