A lot of people gather here from nearby cities especially on weekends. This ski area of 1100 ac/4.45 km² has a lot to offer to its visitors, with the annual snowfall reaching up to 25 ft/7.62 m. The summit is at 8000 ft/2438 m and there is both Alpine and Nordic terrain.
You can do all kind of snow sports in this ski area. There are groomed trails for snowmobiles, attended by the local snowmobile clubs. These groomed courses can change in bad weather conditions, but there are plenty of trails to follow.
Three lifts serve the area and the longest run you can find is 1.5 mi/2.42 km. Closest cities are La Grande and Baker City, however there aren’t many options regarding hotels nearby and you should better make reservations just to make sure. You can find rentals at the ski area, so no worries about that. Anthony Lakes resort will most certainly justify your choice and the Blue Mountains are definitely worth visiting.
