Wind Surfing in Horseneck Beach State Reservation, Westport County, Massachusetts USA

Swell size:
1 - 2 m/3 - 6 ft
Horseneck Beach is situated at the southern part of eastern Massachusetts, in Westport County and is widely known for the variety of activities it offers.

If the weather is good, usually in mid-summer, the place is crowded and water sports fans must go to the very left or right side of the beach.

The beach itself is sandy with a few rocks. You should not mind about the tide position at this beach, as all tides are welcoming wind surfers without causing trouble. It is also a beginners spot when the wind is calm, but more experienced wind surfers can easily surf when the wind is stronger. Swell size starts at 1 m/3 ft and goes up to 2 m/6 ft.

Best months to visit Horseneck Beach are from May to August. From September and on, it becomes a spot more appealing to experienced wind surfers, as the wind is getting stronger and the waves higher with much less crowd around.
