If you are looking for an out of the ordinary surfing experience, then you should visit Torrisdale Bay. It’ s really easy to find as it is within walking distance (5-15 minutes) from Bettyhill. The spot offers a sandy bottom and it’s almost never crowded, thus making Torrisdale Bay a surfer friendly beach.
Powerful waves with normal length between 50 m-150 m / 164 ft-492 ft that in a good day can reach up to 300 m/984 ft are waiting for you to enjoy an unforgettable experience. A good swell starts working at 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and holds up to over 2.5 m/8 ft, having a north, northwest and northeast direction. So, if you have already experienced other famous surf beaches and are curious to ”master the waves” of a virgin place, then Torrisdale Bay is the choice for you!!
