Riksgransen ski resort is located in Kiruna Municipality, Lapland, Sweden. The spot is located at 200 km/124 mi in the north of the Arctic Circle and in the vicinity of the Norwegian borders. The spot is considered to be the ultimate destination for snow fans since the spot is Sweden's longest snow covered location.

Cross Country Skiing at Riksgransen is the ultimate experience for the keen skiers, enjoying the off piste routes. There is nothing better than Cross Country Skiing on a sunny day on a run of 1.3 km/0.8 mi long across Vandrarhemmet.

There are two runs organized during the season. The first one is beyond the camping area, about 3.7 km/2.3 mi long. The second one is performed up in the high zone, accessible by lifts. There are many country runs in the area, either on other villages nearby or spots with magnificent view over the mountains.

From April to May, the resort is offering a 27 km/16.7 mi long of groomed run from Riksgransen to Bjorkliden via Katterjakk, Karkevagge and Laktatjakko Mountain Lodge. From June, there is also a groomed run taking place, starting from Laktatjakko Mountain Lodge. You can also explore the Riksgränsen mountains full of trails and untouched paths. The white scenery of the Scandinavian wilderness will amaze you.

A qualified guide may accompany you for a run into the Riksgransen’s wilderness. Climb on the high tops into untouched snow setting of the nearby mountains. There are also tours available on request. You can move across the pistes on 6 ski lifts, with Nordalsliften being the longest one (1350 m/4429 ft long) and a vertical drop of 300 m/984 ft. Riksgransen resort also provides many additional services to visitors, like training schools for avalanche, cafe and restaurant, medical facilities and resting areas.
