In summer, the wind blows offshore 0.6% and we have only 4% of the time waves with swell size 1.3-2 m (4-6.5 ft). In autumn, the waves swell size is 7% of the time 2-3 m (6.5-10 ft) and the wind blows offshore 7%. In winter, the wind blows offshore 12% and the waves swell size is 2-3 m (6.5-10 ft) 13% of the time and 7% of the time the swell size is >3 m (10 ft). In spring, the waves swell size is 1.3-2 m (4-6.5 ft) 11% of the time and the wind blows offshore 6%.
The beach is appropriate for professionals or kamikaze body-boarders, but there are body-board schools in the area, whose their experts remain at your disposal in case of need. In Ericeira, there are other leisure activities and accommodation options.
