Geeries or Gearies is a popular surf break, located just in the south of Mandurah. It is a reef break that is great when it works. The best wind direction is from the east, southeast and the ideal swell direction is from the west, southwest. Surfers are able to explore the waves with swell sizes that can hold up to 3.5 m/12 ft. In addition, the spot offers left hand waves and it is suitable for novice and advanced surfers alike.
The best tide movement is rising tide and the ideal tide position is low tide only. Keep in mind that, is usually crowded here, especially during weekends. Last but not least, Mandurah caters for a variety of hotels, cosy bars and good restaurants to relax and have fun after a performance of your favorite sport. Note: be careful of sharks, rips and rocks.
