Munich is a popular destination for its sports activity, especially for indoor rock climbing. There are many facilities that will offer you the thrill of climbing indoors. There are climbing and bouldering centers in an area of nearly 7800 m²/83958 ft² long.
These square meters, occurred from the existing available 5230 m²/56295 ft² along with the new additional 2500 m²/26910 ft² of climbing area were added on the spot. In the middle of the hall, you will meet a lifelike climbing tower with a free-form structure which is the new landmark of the sport performance on the spot. The walls in general look alike real walls so the structure is similar.
In addition, there is a separate 100 m²/1076.4 ft² space with coated wood panels, created and designed for training purposes in different technique styles. Next door you will find the main hall where walls are covered with fine textured wood.
If you prefer bouldering, there is a separate area of 1200 m²/12917 ft², where you will find two rooms inside and a huge boulder area for free bouldering, the famous à la Fontainebleau. There are campus boards, system boards, pull up bars and a slack-line for balance training. So if you want to climb but you prefer the inside safety, Kletter und Boulderzentrum München (KBM) is the place for you!
