Munich is the capital of Bavaria State and one of its biggest cities. It is situated on the north of the Bavarian Alps on the River Isar and it is the third largest city in Germany, just behind Berlin and Hamburg.
The city of Holzkirchen is located at about 35 km/ 21 mi in the south of Munich. One of the most popular sports performed in Holzkirchen is paragliding. The actual spot for paragliding is located at approximately 2 km/1.4 mi in the south-southwest of Holzkirchen, at the #13 road to Bad Tölz.
When paragliding you will feel your heart beat while wind is blowing on your face! If you want to para-glide, there are some participation requirements like normal agility, physical and mental health and body weight between 45 – 95 kg/99 – 209 lb.
Feasibility depends on rain and wind conditions. Your clothing should be sporty and comfortable, sturdy shoes with rough profile, thin gloves and if you have a mountain bike helmet. In order to practice paragliding on the spot, you need to book your flight beforehand. Your pilot will be waiting for you at the take off site, upon prior arrangement.
