Prasonisi is one of the most impressive beaches of Rhodes island, in Greece. Rhodes is one of the treasures of Dodecanese complex. The beauty, the moments of jollification, the green veil and the fresh air of Aegean sea make this place one of the best tourist destinations worldwide.

Prasonisi, standing for ”’green island” in Greek, it’s a small paradise for those of you who love water, peacefulness, smiley people and simple life living. Two sandy coves ending in an island is something worth seeing it. The characteristic of the island is that when the sea is calm in the rest of Aegean sea, winds are strong in Prasonisi.

The eastern side of Prasonisi offers the right conditions for kitesurfing. The wind blows offshore and the waves swell size is from 1-3+ m/3.28-9.84+ ft. The direction of the wind is the northwest and usually reaches from 4 to 6 Bft, but most of the times, it goes over 7 Bft. The spot is appropriate for all kind of kite-surfers, combining all levels of difficulty. There are kite-surf schools, in case you need an expert to show you some magic tricks, while you ride in the waves and flirting with the wind.

Near the spot, you can find tasteful restaurants and nice coffee bars. Relax, enjoy your company, talk with welcoming locals and leave everything behind you for a while. Accommodation options are also available in Prasonisi.
