It’s a small fishing village, in the municipality of Mafra, in Portugal. It’s a tourist destination and well known for its mild temperature and the 300 days of sunshine. In spring, the wind blows offshore 6% and the waves swell size is <1.5 m/5 ft and on good days, the swell size is 1.3-2 m (4-6.5 ft). In summer, the waves swell size is most of the time <1.5 m/5 ft but on good days there are waves with swell size 1.3-2 m (4-6.5 ft) and the wind blows offshore 0,6%.
The swell size starts working at 1.0 m-1.5 m / 3 ft-5 ft and holds up to 3 m+ / 10 ft+. The waves direction is right and left and they are powerful and funny. It’s a beach-break with regional classic waves. In Ericeira, you can taste fresh fish and other seafood. There are lovely accommodations, in case you want to take a nap.
