The summit of the mountain lies above the forest line and the terrain consists of mostly lava rocks and shrubs due to it’s alpine weather conditions.
Mana Road Trail starts at the Mauna Kea access road and links with Saddle Rd around Mauna Kea mountain.It is 45 mi/72.5 km long (one way), about six to eight hours biking.
