The metropolitan area of Adelaide is famous for the variety and great number of diving sites it has to offer (you can visit here some of the most impressive shipwrecks in the whole world). The waters have the perfect temperature for scuba diving (warm during the summer and crystal clear during the winter), and are generally friendly and uncrowded.
Mac’s Ground, a popular site for divers of all levels, is a 150 m/492 ft long reef system with a small cave. Marine life in the site is spectacular. Be prepared to see cuttlefish, squids, old wives, strongies, Blue Devils, spider crabs, bullseyes and many more. There are practically no hazards in the area as the currents are pretty low.
