Epirus is a geographic and administrative region, located in northwestern Greece. It is considered to be the region with the more rainfall than any other part of the country. In fact, Epirus offers imposing landscapes of outstanding natural beauty as well as a wide variety of fauna and flora.

Kalaritikos river is a tributary of the famous Arachthos river and is considered to be a brilliant choice for rafting adventures.

It is a particularly technical river, with interesting passages and amazing turns that requires strength and maneuvers third-fourth degree of difficulty, depending on the river flow and weather conditions. The descent starts from the bridge of Gogos and ends at the bridge of Plaka, the tallest arch bridge in Greece.

The length of the route is 18 km/11.2 mi, it lasts about four hours and takes you through a dense plantation, where you can admire impressive natural springs gushing from rock crevices, waterfalls, canyons and rare bird species nesting on trees.
