The beautiful island of Corfu is situated in the Ionian Sea and is part of the Eptanisa island complex. Blessed with amazing natural landscape, stunning sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, along with historical monuments and medieval villages, Corfu is a fascinating Mediterranean destination that enchants and inspires visitors!
Mountain biking is a unique way to discover the unspoiled beauty of the island’s countryside. Corfu is full of cycling opportunities regardless the skill level of the cyclist, providing stunning views of the green landscape. Ropa Valley lies on the west side of the island and is home to a number of birds and animals. During this amazing day trip, you will pass through the valley and traditional mountain villages and explore a range of off-road tracks, donkey tracks and trails along with beautiful vineyards of the Messis villages, pine forests and hidden lakes.
Additionally, cyclists will be suprised by the historical sites, orchards of lemons and oranges and olive groves. The route is about 49 km/30.4 mi and is addressed to advanced mountain bikers with good riding skills and fitness. The ideal period for cycling the region is in spring and early summer months. Finally, there are bike rental agencies and shops that will rent you the necessary equipment or even organise tours with qualified operators.
