The spot lies next to the cosmopolitan Glyfada beach, approximately 15 km/9.3 mi west of the city of Corfu. The location is addressed to all experience levels, as it does not present particular technical difficulties. For strong thermal flights, you need south, southwest winds and sea breeze. The take off is at the mountain of Vatos above the beach at 258 m/846.2 ft above sea level and the take off point is found at 39°35’58” (39.5997)N; 19°47’46” (19.7962)E.
In addition, the landing point is found at 39°35’32” (39.5924)N; 19°48’24” (19.8068)E, right on the beach of Glyfada. So, if you are a paragliding lover and you find yourself in the beautiful island of Corfu, Mirtiotissa is worthwhile visiting!
