The beautiful island of Corfu is situated in the Ionian Sea and is part of the Eptanisa island complex. Blessed with amazing natural landscape, stunning sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, along with historical monuments and medieval villages, Corfu is a fascinating Mediterranean destination that enchants and inspires visitors!
Since 2001, when The Corfu Trail has opened, it became a favorite trekking route among thousands of trekkers due to its amazing, unspoilt landscape and its challenging trails. It is an incredible long-distance walking route, stretching about 220 km/136.8 mi.
The route covers the whole island from the southernmost tip of the island near Arkoudillas to the coastline of Cape Agia Ekaterini in the far north! Once you begin your adventure, you will pass through a stunning forest scenery, admire beautiful olive groves and valleys, avoiding developed areas as much as possible. Trekkers will come across breathtaking views of the coastline, picturesque villages, monasteries and interesting historical sites.
The trail has been well marked with yellow signs, placed in strategic locations. In addition, the terrain is as diverse as the landscape, with cobblestone paths, rough footpaths and dirt tracks. Last but not least, it takes between 8 to 15 days to circuit The Corfu Trail, depending on the chosen route.
