Dublin is the capital city of Ireland and it nestles at the mouth of the River Liffey. The climate here is classified as a maritime climate, with mild winters and cool summers. This vibrant city is noted as much for its Georgian buildings, museums, theaters and attractions, as for its leisure activities and adrenaline-fuelled adventures.
Dalkey is a picturesque suburb of Dublin, about half an hour drive from the capital city. If you want to explore its coastal beauty and discover its amazing marine environment, then you should try kayaking. The location hosts several options of kayak centers that organize tours to Dalkey Island, an uninhabited island that is home to a colony of seals, a herd of wild goats and a number of gulls during spring and summer months.
The spot accommodates both beginner and experienced kayakers of reasonable fitness. Note that, the best wind direction is from the south, southeast and the wave’s type is sand-bar. If you rent a kayak, you should know that most of the kayak tours run from Bulloch Harbour. All of the gear and equipment are provided, so you should only bring your sunscreen and drinking water.
