Euboea is the second largest island in Greece, located on the eastern coast of Central Greece and is worldwide known for the extraordinary natural phenomenon of the tide's changes, taking place on the Euripus strait.

With an easy and fast access from Athens by car, train or bus over the Chalkida bridge that connects the mainland with Euboea’s island and the combination of fantastic mountainous landscapes and incredible white sand beaches, Euboea is an ideal destination for all kinds of adventure holidays, all year round.

Kimi is a beautiful coastal town situated in a privileged position as it overlooks the Aegean Sea. This is the reason why it is commonly known as the “Balcony of the Aegean”. Kimi is also home to one of the biggest man made ports in the country with rich native vegetation long history and fantastic sandy beaches with crystal clear sea.

One of the best ways to discover the area and combine fun and adventure is to plan an organized free-ride tour with mountain bikes. One of the most known mountain bike trails in the area is the Tank Trail where downhill races are conducted on the spot every year. The track is technical with steep slopes, wooden ramps and is made for Downhill or Free-ride bikes. It is approximately 1.5 km/1 mi long and the starting point is over Kimi, at an altitude of 510 m/1673 ft.

The trail is suitable for intermediate and advanced riders only. The best season for this ride is from early spring to late fall, when you can enjoy the blooming nature and the warm Mediterranean climate.
