Columbus is situated in Muscogee County, being the county seat, in Georgia, USA, with which it is consolidated. It is the second largest city surpassing Augusta and with the nearby Alabama cities of Auburn and Opelika forms the Columbus – Auburn – Opelika Combined Statistical Area. The city is located in the heart of Chattahoochee Valley and at 100 mi/160 km in the south of Atlanta. Columbus is home to many museums and tourist sites. Besides all these, Columbus has very intense off road activity.

In Columbus you will find a beautiful park, Flat Rock Park. In that park, every mountain biker who respects him/herself will have a blast. A great set of trails is there, waiting for you to ride them. These trails have something for every ambitious mountain biker.

You will come across various levels of difficulty, sometimes even at the same trail! You can start with the easy level and finish on the red. Most of the trails are smooth, flowing and fast. Other trails have rocks and roots, something that makes them more challenging.

Some of the trails have a couple of short climbs, rolling hills with open field connectors, fairly flat sections, wooden trail sections, steep climbs on the black section, open fielded sections and more. Most of the trails consist of several loops. Another way to make these trails even more challenging is to ride as fast as you can! They are designed for fast running.

The view around the trails is magnificent. A lovely lake is somewhere in the park, offering its waters to cool or just stay and watch how calm and peaceful they look. It is highly recommended to ride on these amazing, continuously changing trails.

Head north on Capitol Ave SW towards Martin Luther King Jr Dr SW, take the first turning left onto Martin Luther King Jr Dr SW, turn left at Washington St SW, continue to Pulliam St SW, take the exit on the left towards I-75 S/I-85 S, take exit 242 to merge on I-85 S towards Domestic Airport / Montgomery, take exit 21 to merge on I-185 S to Columbus, take exit 8 for Airport Thruway in Columbus Airport, keep right at the fork, follow signs for GA-1/US-27 and enter the Airport Thruway, turn left on Veterans Pkwy.

Head east on W Bay St towards Fahm St, take the 3rd right turn at Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, slight right onto the ramp to Interstate 16 W Macon / Interstate 95, merge onto I-16 W, take exit 27 for GA-358 towards Danville, keep left at the fork, follow signs for Georgia 358, slight left at GA-358 W, turn left on GA-96 W, turn right onto GA-7 N/US-341 N / Commercial Cheigits, continue to follow the GA-7 N/US-341 N, turn left on State Route 49C, continue to GA-96 W, continue straight on GA-22 E/US-80 W, take the exit towards GA-85 S/US-27 Alt S / Manchester Expy, turn left on Veterans Pkwy.
