The mountains in combination with the 17 km/10.5 mi seafront make it an excellent spot for mountain bikers. Temperatures vary with colder months being January and February and warmest July and August.
The terrain is generally flat, low above sea, with long seaside routes. If you are a mountain enthusiast, there are up to 30 routes to explore. The most famous is the Castle Macenas and the Turre routes where you can enjoy the beautiful view of the area. Other routes to go for: Sierra Bedar and its mines, Manaka beach, Sopalmo and Lubrin. Plan a trip to Sierra Cabrera, an ecosystem in the mountain, with geological formations unique in Spain.
