Lossie East Beach is situated close to Moray Firth. This beach is suitable for surfing at all times.

The beach is suitable for surfers of every level of ability. Lossiemouth, which is the name of the village, is extended in two beaches long. The first one is West Bay beach, a 3-mi/4.8 km long beach and the second one, which is the busiest one, is the East beach.

Wind direction is generally west, southwest, and south, so it is a favorite destination for surfers all year round. However preferable time to visit is between April and October. The wave quality is normal and the swell can reach up to 4 m/13 ft. Best tide positions are mid to low. At that time it creates the best tides. If you prefer long boarding, this beach will give you approximately 50 m/164 ft long of wave ride.

The only hazard involved is that surfers need to pay special attention to the rocks across the beach.
