On the northern beaches, Shelley/Shelly beach is popular for its amazing marine life and its great facilities. It is safe and easy for new divers to attend a scuba diving training because it is protected from the ocean by a reef on the right side of the beach.

The maximum depth is about 12 m/39 ft and it can be explored all year long. The visibility is good and many species, like weedy sea dragon, can be observed on the spot. Divers may come across with whaler sarks during the winter months. It is a lifetime experience and it is totally harmless.
