Hamersley Pool is located in North Beach. It is a small and protected beach that provides with good conditions for scuba diving and snorkeling. The average depth here is at 3 m/9.8 ft and the maximum is at 6 m/19.7 ft. In addition, visibility is medium and varies from 5 m/16.4 ft to 10 m/32.8 ft.
Expect to come across interesting reef formations, as well as a variety of reef life, with many reef species, crayfish, rays, old wives, schools of bream and red lipped morwong to name just a few. The dive site is appropriate for beginners and advanced divers alike. Furthermore, the optimum time for diving here is at high tide.
Bear in mind that Hamersley Pool is usually crowded with snorkelers and other divers. Note: be careful of the currents.
