The East Coast Park is located on the southeastern coast of Singapore and considered to be the largest park in Singapore. It is one of Singapore's most valued urban get-away. It is entirely built on reclaimed land with an artificial man made beach. This scenic spot stretches along over 15 km/9.3 mi long, offering fun and thrilling sporting activities.

East Coast Beach Park is considered to be the ideal center for windsurfing in Singapore, thus hosting several windsurfing competitions as well. Windsurfers have the opportunity to feel the adrenaline rush of windsurfing. The winds are not particularly very strong, hence beginners have a chance to improve on their sailing skills.

The best period for windsurfing here is during the two monsoon seasons, that is during the southwest monsoon from July to October and the northeast monsoon running between December to February. Winds at these times start picking up from 12 knots and typical sail size is at 9-12 m/29-39 ft.
