LBTS Biorock Reef is the first man made fisheries habitat project in America, where by using a new technology called Biorock, speeds up the growth and life of corals, thus providing shelter and food for fish populations. This pilot project is located in Lauderdale-by-the-sea area, south of Anglin’s Pier and can be accessed from the shore.
Scuba diving there is a unique experience. The maximum depth of the Biorock Reef is at 12.1 ft/3.7 m with low currents and good visibility. Suitable for all skill levels and ages, the spot is home to a very interesting marine biodiversity with colorful fish and amazing corals.
