Dania Beach is a beautiful natural beach with pristine white sand and is one of the least crowded beaches in Fort Lauderdale. With a line up of palm trees and sea oats as well as the John U. Lloyd Beach State Park, the spot is ideal for those who want to enjoy the great sunny weather and the turquoise waters of the ocean.
For those who are into kite-surfing, Dania Beach is a perfect destination during the windy days.  Despite the fact that te area is located outside the tropics, it features a tropical rainforest climate with hot and humid summers with an average temperature of 86–90°F (30–32°C)  and warm and dry winters with an average temperature of  75–82°F (24–28°C).
The beach provides with lots of open space and soft sand and the wave is normal with powerful and hollow speed. The size of the swell starts working from 3 ft/1 m and holds up to 6 ft/2 m and more. The best wind direction is when coming from southwest, south and southeast ideal for upwind rides.
Kite-surfing in Dania Beach represent an endless fun activity, suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers only. However, when the hurricane season begins from June until the end of November,  Fort Lauderdale is affected usually on September and October and provides extreme kite surfing conditions for advanced surfers. There are schools where you can book lessons and brush up your skills and shops where you can buy, rent or repair gear. Bear in mind that you should be careful of the bridge while kite-surfing on the spot. Note: when the tide is high, sharks may show up.
