Sandbridge is a coastal community of Virginia Beach, situated along the coastline on the Currituck Banks Peninsula at the northern end of the Outer Banks.

The town hosts many interesting historical sites and is famous for its Kona Coffee cultivation and the crystal clear sea. Kona International Airport is located at fifteen minutes in the south of the main town.
Along the sea side, there are shops and schools to buy or rent surfing gear, as well as take lessons if you wish to brush up your surfing skills. However, Pine Trees Beach is not recommended for beginners.
It has a regional classic wave quality and very consistent frequency. The type of the beach is reef coral and the power of the wave is fun to ride. The wind direction is coming from Northwest, Southwest and the size of the swell starts working at 2 m/6 ft and holds up to 4 m/12 ft.
Pine Trees beach is a popular surfing destination for both locals and tourists, so it gets very crowded during weekends. You need a 4wd car in order to approach the beach. Surfers should be careful of urchins, sharp rocks and rip currents.
