Mtwapa Creek offers world class scuba diving. The south currents here make up for the fascinating diving experience. It offers a maximum depth of 75 ft/23 m and visibility stands at 39 ft/12 m. Water temperatures stand between 24 – 30°C/75.2 – 86°F.
The existence of pelagic life consisting of big shoals of great and yellow tail barracuda, black trevally and kingfish, bring with them strong currents thus making the spot suitable for divers with drift dive experience. Within the Mtwapa Creek is a 10m shelf which is home to the spiny lobsters.
